We are seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our team as a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in the Paediatric Palliative Care & Bereavement Support team.

Role Overview: The successful candidate will collaborate with existing team members to enhance the delivery of paediatric palliative care and bereavement support. This role involves:

  • Offering professional and clinical guidance to nursing and medical staff regarding palliative care and bereavement.
  • Providing expert advice on symptom management.
  • Acting as an ambassador for paediatric palliative care when engaging with external professionals.
  • Facilitating the development of evidence-based practices in paediatric palliative care in accordance with guidelines.
  • Promoting family-centered palliative care through teamwork with multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Encouraging timely discussions with families to ensure choices in care are respected.
  • Supporting children with palliative care needs and their families during their hospital stay.
  • Engaging with professionals from children's hospices, community settings, and other agencies.
