Job Title: Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our Neurodevelopmental Service for Children and Young People in NHS Lanarkshire.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an innovative and collaborative multi-disciplinary service that provides neurodevelopmental assessment and interventions for children and young people.

The post holder will join a team of Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists and work closely with medical staff from Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Paediatrics, as well as Psychology, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Allied Health Professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide neurodevelopmental assessment and interventions for children and young people
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Contribute to the development of the Neurodevelopmental Service and CAMHS Service
  • Participate in teaching and educational activities with medical students
Requirements

We are looking for a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with excellent clinical skills, experience in neurodevelopmental assessment and interventions, and a strong commitment to collaborative working.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and young people, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
