Job Title: Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our Neurodevelopmental Service for Children and Young People in NHS Lanarkshire.

The successful candidate will be part of an innovative and collaborative multi-disciplinary team, working alongside medical staff from Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Paediatrics, as well as Psychology, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Allied Health Professionals.

The Neurodevelopmental Service provides comprehensive Neurodevelopmental assessment and intervention for children and young people referred from across NHS Lanarkshire. The post holder will be responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans, working closely with families and other healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive Neurodevelopmental assessment and intervention for children and young people
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with families and other healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the development of the Neurodevelopmental Service, including service improvement initiatives and quality assurance
  • Work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment, communicating with colleagues and other stakeholders as required

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, with a focus on Neurodevelopmental assessment and intervention
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
