About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Strategy Officer to join our Transport Strategy and Policy Team. The successful candidate will lead the project management for the development and implementation of Local Transport Plan 4, working closely with the Team Manager to deliver transport infrastructure to enable economic growth, support the delivery of new homes across the County, and meet the transport needs and requirements of our communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement transport strategies, policies, and plans aligned with national planning and transport policy.
  • Lead the project management of Local Transport Plan 4, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain effective partnerships and working relationships.
  • Analyze data to inform policy and strategy development, and understand the transport impacts of developments.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant qualification and/or demonstrable experience in transport planning and policy.
  • Experience of developing and delivering transport strategies, policies, and plans.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • A customer-focused approach, with a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
