Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Fusion People Ltd is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our clients in the EPOS industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of EPOS systems and hardware components
  • Install, move, add, change, and remove (IMAC/R) hardware and software products and components
  • Provide detailed debriefing on all performed activities and proactively inform customers about performed actions
  • Participate in regular hardware and software trainings and receive certification after passing relevant tests
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of more than 1 year as a Service Technician
  • Successfully completed education in IT or mechatronic/electronic-related profession
  • PC literacy and good knowledge and application of the relevant tools and methods
  • Product knowledge of relevant industry and basic ITIL skills preferred
  • Ability to lift and move heavy loads, stand most of the day, climb, bend, and stoop while working on equipment
  • Acceptance of exposure to outside elements
  • Shift adaptability, which includes an on-call rotation for evenings and weekends
  • Exceptional customer service skills are needed
  • Ability to organize and inventory truck stock parts and tools
  • Sense of urgency, organizational skills, professional presence, and ability to work in a team environment
  • Firstline or Service Technician work experience preferred
What We Offer:
  • A competitive day rate of £134.46 per day in scope of IR35 (umbrella)
  • PAYE option available
  • Overtime rates: £22.41 per hour (umbrella) for Monday to Saturday, £29.88 per hour (umbrella) for Sundays and Bank Holidays, £2.00 (umbrella) for standby hourly rate Monday to Saturday, and £3.00 (umbrella) for standby hourly rate Sunday
  • Provided with a van, fuel card, mobile phone, and laptop to carry out the role
  • Classroom training with shadowing another engineer (training is paid)
