About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Midwife to join our team within the Maternity Day Assessment Unit (DAU) at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to high-risk antenatal women, working collaboratively with consultants, community midwives, and sonographers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert midwifery care to women with complex pregnancies, including outpatient foleys induction and ECVs.
  • Support the consultants with acute scanning services and monofer infusions.
  • Work closely with the maternity triage team, community midwives, and sonographers to ensure seamless care.
  • Contribute to the development of evidence-based practice and research within the DAU.

Requirements
  • Ability to write clearly and legibly in English.
  • Knowledge of NMC Code of Conduct, Guidelines, and Professional Practice.
  • Awareness and knowledge of vulnerable adult and child Protection issues.
  • Computer literate.
  • Knowledge of evidence-informed and research-based practice.
  • Professional appearance and behaviour.
  • Good communicator both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and manage own time.
  • Willing to undertake further study.
  • Good previous attendance record.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and practices.
  • Satisfactory enhanced DBS with check against vulnerable groups barred lists.
