About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marketing Effectiveness Consultant to join our team at MediaLab Group. As a key member of our Marketing Effectiveness team, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end Marketing Mix Modelling/econometrics projects, from initial model development to insights generation and data storytelling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Marketing Mix Modelling/econometrics projects: Develop and implement marketing mix models to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and provide actionable insights to clients.
  • Specialise as an effectiveness consultant: Work closely with client teams to ensure frameworks are fit-for-purpose and answer client challenges.
  • Develop deep expertise in the sector: Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing trends and technologies and develop deep expertise in the sector to provide strategic guidance to clients.
  • Responsible for client presentation material: Develop and deliver high-quality presentation materials to clients, including data visualizations and insights.
  • Lead on business effort and revenue pipeline: Identify new business opportunities, write proposals, create thought leadership, and participate in pitches to drive revenue growth.
  • Innovate and streamline the automated modelling process: Work closely with in-house engineering teams to develop and implement automated modelling processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Be an ambassador for MediaLab Group: Connect with external and internal stakeholders to deliver value and build a strong reputation for the company.
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience in delivering media measurement and effectiveness results: Minimum 7 years of experience in delivering media measurement and effectiveness results using Marketing Mix Modelling/econometrics techniques.
  • Consulting/client problem-solving experience: Proven experience in consulting and client problem-solving, with a solid understanding of how measurement frameworks can help clients with insights that make a real difference to grow their business.
  • Line management experience: Responsible for the line management of other consultants/data scientists.
  • Strong working knowledge of advertising: Strong working knowledge of advertising, able to work closely with media planners/buyers and align analytical insights to practical application of results.
  • Experience in handling and analysing data: Solid experience in handling and analysing data, willing to use a range of tools/approaches to best answer the clients' challenges.
  • Project management experience: Experience in project management throughout delivery stages of using statistical techniques in a commercial environment.
  • Significant experience in a marketing, media or business planning environment: Significant experience in a marketing, media or business planning environment.
  • Possession of a passion for media and marketing: A passion for media and marketing and motivated by new channel mediums and related measurement challenges.
Desirable Skills
  • Able to interpret a client's requirements: Able to interpret a client's requirements and deploy commercially relevant analytical insight solutions.
  • Proven track record in statistical techniques: A proven track record in the successful use of statistical techniques in a commercial environment - An appreciation of business principles.
  • Excellent communication skills: Excellent communication skills, written and verbal – the ability to present and explain complex information clearly to people at all levels.
  • Task-oriented and ownership: Task-oriented, ownership of the steps required to achieve the ultimate client challenge set.
  • Curious and analytical: Curious, yet analytical; able to explore new approaches or data sources to improve results.
  • Team player: A team player, willing to contribute and integrate with the existing team and skill sets (consultants, engineers, media planners, buying teams and other vertical specialists).
  • Open to a range of toolsets: Open to a range of toolsets and/or a keen coder, who enjoys being hands-on with the development side of analytics as required (SQL, R/Python, AWS/GCP or visual tools).
  • Model automation and/or system integration experience: Model automation and/or system integration experience would be beneficial.
  • Experience with the charity sector and/or financial services: Experience with the charity sector, and/or financial services would be beneficial given our client set.
