About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop effective treatment plans for children and young people with mental health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with schools, local authorities, and other stakeholders to provide mental health support and interventions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, young people, and their families to ensure effective care and support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health strategies and policies within the trust.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to children and young people.
Requirements
  • Qualified in CBT or CYP PWP/EMHP/CWP Diploma/Certificate, which meets the Minimum Training Standards as defined by the BABCP, BPS, etc.
  • CYP IAPT Training, e.g., CBT, Systemic Family Therapy, Attachment-based training Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).
  • Hold an appropriate professional registration (e.g., NMC, BABCP, BPS, etc.).
Desirable
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field of mental health and able to demonstrate significant practice.
