Job Overview

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead (WAM) Older Peoples Mental Health Service team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality care to older adults with mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of patients, conducting assessments, and developing and implementing care plans in consultation with patients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Work collaboratively with other disciplines to provide comprehensive care, including social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists.
  • Supervise support workers and students, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
  • Provide advice and guidance to other members of the service and external agencies on the needs of service users.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working with older adults with mental health needs.
  • Ability to drive and have access to a car for work-related purposes.
