Senior Building Safety Officer

Axiom Engineering Associates Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Safety Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Process Safety Group, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and growth of our Process Safety & Process Safety Engineering Services business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional client service, meeting quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial team and Business Development to win work at target fee rates.
  • Drive business performance improvement through process optimization and innovation.
  • Develop and maintain Process Safety and Process Safety Engineering competency management, standards, methodologies, work processes, procedures, and enabling tools/systems.
  • Provide technical training and present papers at industry events.
  • Stay up-to-date with Process Safety trends, legislation, and identify areas for growth and development.
Requirements:
  • A degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, preferably Chemical or Process Engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills, including technical report writing and reviewing.
  • Strong experience in Process Safety areas, including COMAH, Project Safety Management, Project HAZOPS, and more.
  • Proficiency in using recognized software for dispersion modeling, fire, and overpressure effects.
  • Strong knowledge and network within target sectors/regions, including Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Oil & Gas, and more.
