Job Title: Process Safety Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Safety Consultant to join our team at Jackson Hogg Ltd. As a key member of our Process Safety Group, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and growth of our Process Safety & Process Safety Engineering Services business.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead team/individual assignments, manage fee rate and utilisation to deliver agreed contribution.
  2. Collaborate with the Commercial team and Business Development to win work.
  3. Support the development of company Process Safety competency management, standards, methodologies, work processes, procedures and enabling tools/systems.
  4. Engage actively in key external organisations, such as professional bodies and subject groups.
  5. Deliver technical training courses and present papers at events.
  6. Lead/chair meetings with multiple customer stakeholders.
  7. Stay up-to-date with Process Safety trends, legislation and identify areas for growing developing capabilities.
Requirements:
  1. A degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, preferably Chemical or Process Engineering.
  2. Chartered with an appropriate Institution or equivalent.
  3. 10+ years experience as a Process Safety Specialist operating within the target sectors.
  4. Strong knowledge of relevant UK legislation, including COMAH, DSEAR and related codes/standards.
  5. Proven experience in providing leadership and consultancy support across a range of process safety areas, including COMAH, Project Safety Management, Project HAZOPS, Retrospective Hazard Reviews, Process Hazard Review, Hazard Study 1-6, Hazard Identification, LOPA, Quantified Risk Assessment, Consequence modelling, Occupied Building Risk Assessment, Alarm management, Bowtie analysis, Functional safety, Hazardous area management, Human factors, Pressure Relief and Flare assurance.
