Purchase Ledger Manager

A dynamic and growing company in Cumbria is seeking a highly skilled Purchase Ledger Manager to join their expanding finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and providing exceptional support to the finance manager.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the Purchase Ledger Function: Oversee the processing of invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Lead the Transactional Team: Supervise a team of 4 assistants, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
- Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve processes and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and efficient.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions.
- Supplier Management: Review and manage supplier payments, expense reimbursement runs, and general ledger and control account reconciliations.
- Ad-Hoc Projects: Participate in various projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
- Significant Experience: Proven experience in a purchase ledger function, with a strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using various finance systems, with experience in foreign currency transactions.
- Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, high energy, and enthusiasm, combined with a proactive and inquisitive nature.
- Continuous Learning: A commitment to staying up-to-date with technology developments and best practices in finance.
