Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Technical/Project Engineer to join our Technical Engineering Team. This role involves supporting the secure design and implementation of various projects while influencing external technical decisions within the sector.
As a Technical/Project Engineer, you will work in a hybrid capacity, with the flexibility to travel to operational sites and client locations throughout the UK. A valid UK driving license is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and obtaining approval for installation designs and layouts for external clients.
- Consulting with teams on required equipment and tools for installations.
- Providing technical guidance to clients on matters such as process safety, product knowledge, storage, regulations, and maintenance.
- Assisting in incident investigations and quality enhancement initiatives.
- Leading and engaging in hands-on activities for long-term projects.
- Conducting liaison meetings with suppliers, clients, and partners.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Managing the Engineering Document Management System (EDMS).
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and completing necessary training.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) qualification or working towards it.
- A diverse technical background, preferably including mechanical, process, and electrical engineering.
- Strong understanding of safety and risk management principles.
- Experience with long-term projects is advantageous.
- Proficient computer skills and quick adaptability to new software.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Comfortable collaborating with individuals from various backgrounds and levels of seniority.
- Capacity to make prompt, informed decisions, including navigating complex scenarios.
- Effective communication skills for explaining intricate concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a methodical approach to work.
