About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead our design engineering process and team for a highly specialized product set. As a key member of our engineering family, you will be responsible for managing the design engineering process and team, providing high-level engineering subject matter expertise to drive forward product development and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead allocated projects according to accepted methodology, ensuring appropriate governance is applied and performance metrics identified, monitored, and reported to ensure adequate progress at all stages of the project lifecycle and within individual contract terms.
  • Project Planning: Document a clearly defined project scope and performance metrics; create workable project plans.
  • Schedule Management: Manage project schedules and work breakdown structures.
  • Governance and Communication: Establish and maintain governance arrangements for the delivery of allocated projects and communicate progress to relevant stakeholders, governance boards, and identified external partners.
  • Risk Management: Identify, track, and manage project risk, communicating the impact of risk on cost, quality, and delivery schedule.
  • Documentation: Ensure effective and complete project documentation.
  • Commercial Support: Support the production of commercial proposals, bids, and quotes, including the selection of suitable sub-contractors, equipment suppliers, and equipment.
  • Contract Management: Review contract specifications, terms, and conditions to identify costs and prepare budgets for all allocated projects; manage costs to budget for all allocated projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical subject matter expertise to interpret and apply policy and regulatory requirements to ensure the product set keeps pace with legislation, guidance, and best practice.
Requirements
  • Experience: Wide and deep general engineering experience.
  • Project Management: Project management experience.
  • Skills: Ideal exposure to MS-Project / have Prince 2 accreditation.
  • Managerial Experience: Managerial or supervisory experience.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Must have problem-solving skills.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel.
