We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our team at Jonathan Lee Recruitment, a leading engineering and manufacturing recruitment consultancy. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design engineering process and team for a highly specialized product set, providing the highest level of engineering subject matter expertise to drive forward product development and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead allocated projects according to accepted methodology, ensuring appropriate governance is applied and performance metrics identified, monitored, and reported to ensure adequate progress at all stages of the project lifecycle and within individual contract terms.
- Document a clearly defined project scope and performance metrics; create workable project plans.
- Manage project schedules and work breakdown structures.
- Establish and maintain governance arrangements for the delivery of allocated projects and communicate progress to relevant stakeholders, governance boards, and identified external partners.
- Identify, track, and manage project risk, communicating the impact of risk on cost, quality, and delivery schedule.
- Ensure effective and complete project documentation.
- Support the production of commercial proposals, bids, and quotes, including the selection of suitable sub-contractors, equipment suppliers, and equipment.
- Review contract specifications, terms, and conditions to identify costs and prepare budgets for all allocated projects; manage costs to budget for all allocated projects.
- Provide technical subject matter expertise to interpret and apply policy and regulatory requirements to ensure the product set keeps pace with legislation, guidance, and best practice.
- Wide and deep general engineering experience.
- Project Management experience.
- Ideal exposure to MS-Project / have Prince 2 accreditation.
- Managerial or supervisory experience.
- Must have problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel.
