As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring that Whitespace consistently delivers high-quality software to an expanding clientele. Rigorous and innovative testing is essential for the success of the Platform. Whitespace is committed to providing an outstanding and user-friendly experience that outpaces its competitors.
This position is ideal for an individual who is adaptable and eager to grow within the company, with opportunities for professional development within the Platform team. Comprehensive training on proprietary and industry-specific systems will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Testing Activities
Execute testing on the Whitespace Platform via both the Web Interface and iOS Application, including:o Structured end-to-end testing of current features that are not yet included in automated test scripts.
o Validation of identified issues during testing to ascertain if they are regressions or pre-existing problems.
o Structured end-to-end testing of newly developed features.
o Exploratory testing based on business scenarios.
o Initial testing of new features following their first release from development.
o Re-testing of issues as fixes become available.
Document testing evidence (including replication/exploratory test steps, screenshots, videos, etc.) in accordance with Whitespace testing protocols. Collaborate with Business Analysts and the Head of Customer Experience to clarify any business scenarios or Platform behavior queries. Consult with fellow QA Analysts as needed to determine the validity of issues. Log issues in the appropriate systems, ensuring compliance with Whitespace issue documentation standards. Conduct automation and API testing as necessary.Test Script Development and Maintenance
Work with Business Analysts to create new test scripts as required for new functional enhancements. Modify and update existing test scripts to ensure comprehensive coverage of identified business scenarios.Insurance Acumen
Articulate complex insurance concepts to fellow QA Analysts to enhance their understanding of new functionalities and their operational logic. Address inquiries from fellow QA Analysts regarding specific behaviors and their potential impact on end users.Additional Responsibilities
Familiarize yourself with new functional requirements to ensure a clear understanding of business drivers and needs. When requested, assist in the preparation of:o Acceptance criteria for new functional enhancements
o Training materials/videos
o Release documentation
Required Qualifications
Education / Training / Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification Professional Insurance Certifications are advantageous but not mandatoryRequired Knowledge / Skills / Attributes
3+ years of experience in Automation testing using Java, JavaScript, or similar technologies. 3+ years of experience in API and integration testing. Exceptional attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Dependable with a robust work ethic. Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Effective organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of insurance principles. Experience in application testing and/or user acceptance testing. Familiarity with testing methodologies. Understanding of the London and other insurance markets.
