Senior Quality Assurance Tester

Job Description:

As a senior member of our Quality Assurance team at Yoobic, Ltd. (Italy), you will be responsible for building and maintaining our existing test strategy via manual and automated testing activities. Working in an Agile approach, you will collaborate with a squad made up of QA, Devs, and Product Managers, taking ownership of all test activities for the bi-weekly sprint.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manual Testing: Write and execute manual test cases within Zephyr (JIRA integration) to ensure the release of quality software.
  2. Agile Methodology: Attend daily squad and stand-up meetings (Zoom) for sprint planning and retrospective analysis.
  3. Test Validation: Validate story (implementation) type tickets in JIRA to ensure the new feature has been sufficiently implemented against requirements.
  4. Automated Testing: Work alongside the front-end Dev team to automate manual test scripts (created in Zephyr) using Cucumber/Gherkin/Playwright framework.
  5. Network Testing: Run network tests in production/customer environment to ensure catching any performance issues and liaise with the Back-end team should they occur.
  6. Other Testing Activities: Participate in various other testing activities, including smoke testing, visual regression, and support in backend testing.

Requirements:

  • Good Knowledge of Software Testing: Strong understanding of software testing principles and practices.
  • Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile methodology and its application in software development.
  • STQB Certified Tester: Foundation level certification in STQB Certified Tester.
  • Computing-Related Degree: Degree in a computing-related field.
  • Automated Testing Experience: Experience in automated testing using various tools and frameworks.
