**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled Income Advisor to join our team at Eastlight Community Homes. As an Income Advisor, you will play a crucial role in managing the collection and prevention of housing-related debt, ensuring efficient debt collection processes, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the collection and prevention of housing-related debt up to an agreed threshold.
- Coordinate with Income Managers to ensure efficient debt collection processes.
- Manage and monitor the effective collection of housing, garage, former, and sundry debts.
- Collaborate with Income Managers on managing accounts up to an agreed threshold.
- Provide exemplary customer service at all times.
- Advocate the most effective payment methods tailored to individual customer needs.
- Promote financial inclusion across the Eastlight resident community.
- Contribute to pertinent projects and perform other reasonable tasks within the Income team.
- Liaise with other departments, partners, and stakeholders for optimal case management.
Requirements:
- A genuine commitment to the principles of equality and diversity.
- Proven experience working in a team environment, as well as the ability to take initiative.
- Knowledge and experience of the legal processes involved in housing-related debt collection.
- An understanding of financial inclusion.
- Knowledge of welfare benefits and the Universal Credit process.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional time management and organisational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
What We Offer:
- A competitive annual base salary of £29,492.
- A fixed-term 10-month contract, full-time.
- A group stakeholder pension plan, with Eastlight doubling up to 5% of the employee's contribution.
- An annual wellbeing grant of £200 per annum, subject to eligibility.
- 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Trailblazing family leave, including 12 weeks full pay and 6 weeks half pay, subject to eligibility.

- A commitment to agile working, with opportunities for remote work.
