Applied Scientist II, AGI-Sensory Understanding

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Applied Scientist to join its Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building industry-leading Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) technology with Large Language Models (LLMs) and multimodal systems.

About the Team

The AGI team focuses on developing multimodal foundation models for various applications in the speech and audio domain. We collaborate with other teams to achieve state-of-the-art performance in speech technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop neural deep learning methods and machine learning algorithms for speech recognition, machine translation, and natural language processing systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into commercial speech products and government speech projects.
  • Contribute to the development of professional software development practices and methodologies.
Requirements
  • PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or related languages.
  • Publication history in top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
