We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Officer to join our team at MBDA. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement business strategies to maximize identified opportunities and drive revenue growth.
- Lead the winning of new work, including the full Route to Contract, from bidding to contract negotiations.
- Manage agreements, including drafting confidentiality, loan, licence, and NDA agreements.
- Deliver contracts, ensuring compliance and meeting customer expectations.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Provide effective people management and development, communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
- Represent the commercial team in progress/reviews and customer meetings.
- Analyse and problem-solve complex issues, working collaboratively with a multi-functional team.
- Work under pressure to achieve deadlines, maintaining a strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with MoD contracting structure, including DEFCONs and QDCs, is preferred.
- Defence knowledge is an advantage.
- Experience in drafting, negotiating, and agreeing contracts and agreements is essential.
- A confident communicator, both orally and in writing, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Adaptable and approachable, with a strong analytical mindset.
- Determined to succeed, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
- Company bonus: up to £2,500 (based on company performance).
