Quality Engineer

Astute Technical is working with a leading nuclear company to recruit for a Quality Engineer based at their site in Aldermaston.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to support the delivery of technical assessments and contribute to capability development. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality delivery is maintained through control of inspection, calibration, and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of technical assessments using appropriate methodologies and contribute to capability development.
  • Attend design/technical/task reviews, defect reviews, and stakeholder meetings to ensure quality is represented.
  • Control of inspection/calibration/reporting and processes to ensure quality delivery is maintained.
  • Collation of LTQRs.
  • Production/Checking of project quality documentation.
  • Supplier/Equipment/documentation inspections.
  • Client stakeholder management.
  • Raising quality non-conformances where applicable.
Requirements

We are looking for someone with experience of managing quality assurance across several projects, production or checking of quality plans, and supplier inspections of manufacture and LTQR documentation.

What's on Offer

This is a permanent or contract role, outside IR35, with a competitive salary and package. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a nuclear environment and hold SC Clearance.
