Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nights Operations Manager to join our team. As a Nights Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing all daily warehousing and home delivery activities, including resource planning, production of weekly working rotas, and management of operational costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all daily warehousing and home delivery activities
  • Complete resource planning for all operational activities on a daily basis
  • Produce weekly 'working rotas' to ensure sufficient resources are in place for the working week
  • Manage operational costs through the efficient use and planning of people and vehicles
  • Complete site task lists through line management of the supervisory and administrative teams
  • Comply with current transport legislation and company standards
  • Comply with all legislative and company Health & Safety requirements
  • Complete reports in a timely and accurate manner
  • Adhere to company security requirements including keyholder duties
  • Deputise in the absence of the General Manager

Requirements

  • Effective people leader managing site employees across multiple shift patterns
  • Commercial awareness
  • Working within budgets and targets
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced customer service orientated environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Critical thinking, able to orchestrate logical solutions to operational issues
  • Problem solving skills
  • National CPC Holder (Desirable)
  • A high level of HR knowledge
  • Good PC skills
