We are seeking an experienced Insurance Claims Specialist to join our client\u2019s busy property team in Ringwood. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing an in-house insurance claims service to clients, offering guidance, support, and assistance to ensure claims are processed to a satisfactory conclusion in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dealing with enquiries from clients, colleagues, and insurers, and responding within one business day
  • Working in line with established administration processes to ensure all documentation is accurately produced and distributed to clients
  • Ensuring even distribution of calls, post, and web enquiries amongst the team on a daily basis
  • Accurately documenting all instructions and conversations with clients on manual and IT-based systems
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with insurers, loss adjusters, and other third parties to secure the most favourable outcome for clients
  • Negotiating with insurers to provide the best solution for clients, given legal and regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining manual and IT systems for processing and administrative purposes relating to claims
  • Ensuring daily diary management and fluid workflows within the claims team
  • Reporting all suspicious claims to the Operations Manager
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have previous claims experience, ideally from commercial lines, but we will consider personal lines claims experience. You will have experience across a wide spectrum of insurance products and claims associated with them, including home, motor, travel, and commercial lines.

You will be able to identify that the criteria for a \u201ccircumstance\u201d has been met, guiding our clients through the process of making a claim. You will assist in gathering and providing the material required to the relevant insurer(s) and providing support to their clients as required.

You will be resilient, as this may require challenging an insurer\u2019s view on the cover afforded by the policy if you believe it to be incorrect.

You will pride yourself on high levels of customer service, maintaining and exceeding these in line with our company policy.
