Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our CAMHS Team at Northampton Business Directory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the mental health and wellbeing needs of children and families are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Workload Management: Prioritize your day-to-day workload and ensure that Looked After Children (LAC) cases are appropriately prioritized.
  2. Clinical Advice and Guidance: Offer support and clinical advice and guidance to the team around the treatment of LAC.
  3. Assessments and Interventions: Undertake assessments of LAC children and their wider support network to ensure their mental health and wellbeing needs are met.
  4. Brief Interventions: Offer brief intervention/advice and guidance to children and their wider support network as appropriate.
  5. Timely Assessments: Ensure all children are assessed in a timely manner in line with local and national LAC targets.
  6. Care Planning and Documentation: Ensure that care and assessments are adequately planned and documented on the electronic medical notes system, including care plans and risk assessments.
  7. Signposting and Guidance: Offer signposting/support and guidance to other staff members and services as appropriate regarding the treatment and management of Looked After children.
  8. Protocol and Procedure Adherence: Have detailed knowledge relating to both the national and local protocols and procedures regarding the treatment and management of LAC and ensure that these are adhered to across the wider CAMHS network.
