About the Role:

This position involves working closely with children and young people, providing individualized support and care to ensure their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills and be able to document detailed notes on the young person's emotional state, interactions, learning journey, and daily routines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or two-to-one support to children and young people, promoting their safety and care.
  • Participate in activities with the young person, encouraging independence, routine adherence, and learning.
  • Develop and maintain detailed records of observations, emotions, interactions, and learning journeys.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Adapt to challenging situations, demonstrating patience, emotional resilience, and a non-judgmental attitude.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children and young people with challenging behaviors or mental health issues is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and in challenging situations.
  • High level of patience and emotional resilience.
  • Non-judgmental attitude towards individuals with diverse needs or behaviors.
  • Willingness to undertake training and professional development to meet changing standards and codes of conduct.

Company Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check and reference check are mandatory for all employees in education and residential care.
  • Only candidates with existing eligibility to live and work in the UK will be considered.
