Deck Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GP Rating to join our team at Boskalis. As a key member of our crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessel.
Key Responsibilities- Safety and Security: Act as a lookout in accordance with MCA Regulations, ensuring the safety of the vessel and its crew.
- Maintenance and Repair: Ensure that all areas of the vessel are cleaned and maintained to a high standard, and that all planned maintenance tasks are completed as directed.
- Engineering Support: Assist engineering staff as required, and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and operated.
- Reporting and Administration: Complete and submit all necessary reports and paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Watchkeeping and Anchoring: Carry out duties as watchman, including anchoring and mooring operations.
- Galley Duties: Perform galley duties as directed by the Master.
- Deck Equipment Operations: Ensure that all deck equipment is properly maintained and operated, including cranes, RIBs, and anchor windlasses.
- Coxswain: Act as Coxswain of the RIB as directed.
- Qualifications: ENG1, Basic Sea Survival, and Fire Fighting certifications.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
- Residency and Documentation: 3 years' UK residency, full driving license, and a current passport.
- Availability: Ability to work on a liveaboard vessel on a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation.
