Offshore HSES Adviser

Our client, an Oil and Gas Operator, is seeking an experienced Offshore HSES Adviser to join their team on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance and advice to the Offshore Installation Manager to ensure compliance with all legislation regarding Health, Safety & Environment, policies and procedures.
  • Engage the offshore workforce to ensure Harbour Energy safety expectations are understood and lived out.
  • Ensure incidents and events are accurately recorded and investigated, and associated actions tracked through to closure.
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:
  • Support offshore teams to understand and implement HSES procedures, providing feedback to ensure all relevant legislation is complied with.
  • Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures across shifts.
  • Develop and implement pragmatic risk management solutions to deliver safe and efficient operations.
  • Lead Offshore delivery and training for HSE Programmes, including Learning Organisation, Personal Safety Involvement, Life Saving Rules, Safety Focus Days, Management Safety Reviews, and ER Planning.
  • Liaise with Environmental and Occupational Hygiene Advisors to ensure all elements of relevant legislation are complied with.
  • Ensure the OIM and asset team are appraised of current regulation and guidance.
  • Provide proactive support to the platform management team and offshore safety representatives, serving as a focal point for communication.
  • Support assets with Synergi / COMET, providing coaching as required and leading investigations when requested.
  • Monitor quality and accuracy of incident investigations, actions, and close-out, identifying trends and proposing solutions.
  • Act as the offshore focal point for Corporate & Regulatory Inspections.
Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience:
  • NEBOSH Diploma / BOHS Dip OH or equivalent.
  • Detailed understanding of risk assessment and risk management processes.
  • UK required offshore certification.
