Offshore HSES Adviser

Our client, an Oil and Gas Operator, is seeking an experienced Offshore HSES Adviser to join their team on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide Guidance and Advice: Ensure the Offshore Installation Manager remains compliant with all legislation regarding Health, Safety & Environment, policies and procedures.
  2. Engage Offshore Workforce: Ensure Harbour Energy safety expectations are understood and lived out by the offshore workforce.
  3. Incident Investigation and Reporting: Accurately record and investigate incidents and events, and track associated actions to closure.
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility, and Competence:
  1. Support Offshore Operations: Ensure HSES procedures are understood and implemented, and provide feedback to improve compliance with relevant legislation.
  2. Consistent Policy Application: Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures across shifts.
  3. Pragmatic Risk Management: Implement pragmatic risk management solutions to deliver safe and efficient operations.
  4. Lead Offshore Delivery: Lead offshore delivery and training for HSE Programmes, including Learning Organisation, Personal Safety Involvement, Life Saving Rules, Safety Focus Days, Management Safety Reviews, and ER Planning.
  5. Liaise with Environmental and Occupational Hygiene Advisors: Ensure all elements of relevant legislation are complied with.
  6. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the OIM and asset team are appraised of current regulation and guidance.
  7. Proactive Support: Provide proactive support to the platform management team and offshore safety representatives.
  8. Support Assets: Support assets with Synergi/COMET, providing coaching as required and leading investigations when requested.
  9. Monitoring Quality: Monitor the quality and accuracy of incident investigations, actions, and close-out, identify trends, and propose solutions.
  10. Corporate and Regulatory Inspections: Be the offshore focal point for corporate and regulatory inspections.
Critical Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
  1. NEBOSH Diploma/BOHS Dip OH: Hold a NEBOSH Diploma or BOHS Dip OH, or equivalent.
  2. Risk Assessment/Risk Management: Have a detailed understanding of risk assessment and risk management processes.
  3. UK Offshore Certification: Must hold the UK required offshore certification.
