Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Lead Quality Technician to oversee product release processes and conduct regular hygiene and pest audits to ensure compliance with industry standards such as BRC and AIB. This role requires a solid understanding of manufacturing environments, focusing on delivering accurate product releases in alignment with inspection protocols and laboratory testing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform weekly and monthly hygiene and pest audits to uphold BRC and AIB compliance.
- Assist the Site Quality Manager with pest control inspections and hygiene assessments.
- Analyze internal and external non-conformances to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
- Evaluate product quality to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Monitor quality performance through statistical analysis and process control.
- Collaborate with laboratory technicians to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Investigate customer-related incidents to ensure quality standards are met.
Principal Duties
- Ensure all team members are adequately trained to perform their duties, with standard operating procedures and risk assessments in place.
- Conduct thorough internal audits and support external auditing processes.
- Manage a system for addressing daily incidents, ensuring comprehensive analysis and agreement on disposition and dispatch priorities with stakeholders.
- Assist the Site Quality Manager in efficiently addressing external non-conformances, providing thorough analysis and decision-making on disposition and dispatch priorities.
- Carry out assigned audits according to the established audit schedule.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in a manufacturing setting is essential.
- Experience in conducting audits and evaluating their outcomes.
- Proficiency in SAP, shop floor systems, Microsoft Office Excel, and Minitab.
- Six Sigma training is advantageous.
- HACCP training is a plus.
- A relevant technical or scientific qualification, ideally BTEC HNC or equivalent, is preferred.
