Assistant Buyer Job Description

Zachary Daniels is seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our team. As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in creating innovative, on-trend products that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor daily sales and weekly trade to inform category decisions
  • Present trade notes and key actions to the wider team, including the Head of and Director
  • Collaborate closely with the Merchandising team to drive category performance
  • Liaise with suppliers to negotiate costs and build relationships
  • Research market trends, influencers, and social media movements to inform product development
  • Manage the critical path to ensure timely delivery of products
  • Propose and implement solutions to any critical path concerns
  • Manage samples and approval processes
  • Attend fit sessions and assist with production samples

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in buying and merchandising
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of pricing architectures and cost management
