HOUSE OF FASHION ASSOCIATES is seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sourcing, planning, and developing product ranges for the lingerie and fashion accessories department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and implement the product development process in collaboration with the Buyer.
- Assist the Buyer in sourcing and developing product ranges, ensuring all suppliers meet their requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers.
- Conduct competitor research and provide detailed trends reports and market analysis.
- Raise and progress purchase orders, and review brand performance and sell-through rates.
- Manage and maintain complete sample ranges and documentation, including colour, fit, and labelling approvals.
- Deal with enquiries from internal teams and external departments, including suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with departmental legal, quality, and RRP requirements, and maintain up-to-date advertising calendars.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with the Buyer and Merchandiser on key issues.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the fashion industry.
- Strong knowledge of the range, with the ability to predict seasonal best sellers, core lines, and future trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
