Join Our Team as a Patient Transport Assistant

We are excited to present an opportunity for a Patient Transport Assistant to contribute to our local community by becoming a vital part of our transport service team.

This role is immensely rewarding, as you will be assisting individuals in need, enhancing their daily experiences, and providing them with essential support during their medical journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transporting service users to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities.
  • Providing compassionate assistance to 'end of life' service users, ensuring empathy and respect at all times.
  • Building rapport through effective communication with patients and their families.
  • Safely lifting, securing, and assisting service users in and out of the transport vehicles.
  • Facilitating the handover of patients to appropriate medical staff or family members upon arrival at treatment centers or homes.

Qualifications:

  • Valid UK manual driving license.
  • Strong communication skills, especially in emotional situations.
  • Physical fitness for patient handling and mobility tasks.
  • Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
