CAD Operations Manager

This organization specializes in remediation engineering, employing a diverse array of commercially viable remediation methods, extensive earthworks, civil construction, and landfill development.
With project values ranging from thousands to several million pounds, their operations span across the nation.
Role Overview: CAD Operations Manager
The CAD Operations Manager serves as a vital connection between the preparation of tenders and the execution of operational projects.
Maintaining effective communication with team members at all levels, the CAD Operations Manager is expected to respond promptly, independently, and efficiently to a variety of requests, which may include detailed 3D modeling tasks, essential site layouts, and site measurement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generating tender, contract, and as-built drawings utilizing AutoCAD and other relevant software, including construction details, site plans, and cross-sections.
- Producing drawings based on topographical surveys and site documentation.
- Coordinating site engineering controls and setting out operations, providing necessary information to team members and subcontractors.
- Completing daily logs with photographic documentation and ensuring the calibration of surveying instruments.
- Overseeing the management of the drawing block library, database, and filing system.
- Presenting tender and contract documentation.
- Collaborating with Directors, Project Managers, and Engineers.
- Supervising and mentoring CAD personnel.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Drafting (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent, with relevant experience)
- Familiarity with other MS Office and Windows applications
- Knowledge of LSS or similar 3D modeling software (training available)
- Competence in modern surveying and setting out tools
- Understanding of machine control systems
- Relevant CSCS certification
