Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the entire accounts process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Produce timely and accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, to inform business decisions.
  • Process payroll efficiently and in compliance with legal requirements, ensuring timely payment to employees.
  • Manage cash flow to maintain the financial stability of the business, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Maintain the purchase ledger with precision, ensuring accurate tracking of expenses and revenues.
  • Perform general accounting duties, including reconciliations and journal entries, to ensure the financial integrity of the business.
  • Utilize SAGE software for both accounts and payroll management, ensuring efficient and accurate processing.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in managing a full accounting cycle, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Essential knowledge and experience in producing P&Ls and processing payroll, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Proficiency in using SAGE accounts and Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Strong ability to manage cash flow and general financial oversight, with a focus on maintaining the financial stability of the business.
  • Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • A formal accounting qualification is beneficial but not mandatory, with a focus on relevant experience and skills.
