Pension Plan Governance and Compliance

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented professional to oversee the governance, controls, and compliance aspects of our pension plans.

The successful candidate will take a leadership role in the administration of pension plan governance, ensuring timely completion of all associated tasks, and acting as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the administration of governance calls for contract-based pension plans, ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
  • Conduct quarterly SOX compliance testing across all company pension plans, documenting and reporting the results to management.
  • Compile and submit quarterly pension plan reports to the corporate office, providing a clear and accurate business position summary.
  • Work closely with corporate to ensure alignment of pension-related reports.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform payroll testing related to pension contributions and deductions, identifying discrepancies and coordinating with payroll to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate detailed process walkthroughs with internal teams and external auditors, ensuring all relevant documentation and explanations are provided.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in pension plan administration, financial controls, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of SOX compliance, pension governance, and audit processes.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
