Job Title: Sales Manager (Reports To: Regional Manager)
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve budgeted gross profit targets through effective management of the sales team.
- Lead and inspire a dedicated team of Account Managers.
- Meet personal margin objectives from an established customer base.
- Ensure that Sales and Marketing expenditures remain below 20% of total margin generated by the team.
- Attain targets for focus brands, new business opportunities, and increased customer spending.
Core Duties:
- Strategically plan and execute the gross profit budget for the region.
- Maintain a cost base cap of 20%.
- Oversee daily operations, training, and development of team members.
- Enhance the efficiency of local account managers by focusing on new business, margin-driving categories, and customer spending.
- Conduct joint visits to key prospects to boost customer acquisition chances.
- Facilitate monthly sales meetings to drive performance.
- Perform annual evaluations of direct reports.
- Collaborate in the recruitment of new sales personnel with senior management.
- Manage relationships and profitability of key regional accounts.
- Demonstrate motivation and capability to handle high-pressure situations while effectively managing team dynamics.
- Represent the sales team internally and the company externally.
- Coordinate with partner depot managers to achieve profit targets.
- Prepare and present accurate reports to company executives.
- Stay informed about competitor activities in the market.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the on-trade beverage industry is essential.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Demonstrated experience in team management.
- Familiarity with CRM and sales software.
- Experience in sales reporting is required.
