Our UK division is seeking a new team member for the role of Structural Steel Engineer to assist with various activities related to high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing steelwork platforms in accordance with Eurocode3, ETC-C, and other applicable standards.
  • Collaborating with building layout and piping teams to ensure design coordination.
  • Working alongside CAD designers to produce detailed design drawings and models.
  • Managing engineering modifications in compliance with company protocols.
  • Addressing and resolving identified technical challenges.
  • Receiving, analyzing, and verifying the accuracy of input data.
  • Generating deliverables for which you are accountable, including assumption notes, technical specifications, and calculation documentation.
  • Coordinating CAD design efforts.
  • Conducting design activities for fastenings and anchorages in concrete.
  • Developing substantiation reports and overseeing relevant technical documentation.
  • Performing technical reviews of civil engineering documents related to construction.
  • Creating and maintaining the Design Risk Register.
  • Overseeing anchorage design tasks.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in steelwork engineering design, particularly in the detailing of industrial steel structures.
  • Familiarity with the nuclear sector is a plus.
  • Prior experience with Eurocodes relevant to steelwork engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of steel structure design and detailing.
  • Understanding of pertinent Health and Safety regulations.
