Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to join our team at Achilles Group Limited. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of complex technology-focused projects and workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of technology projects from initial inception through scoping, business requirements, design, development, QA, release, and delivery/warranty phases.
  • Develop and manage technology project plans and integrate them into the wider business project and technology program where relevant.
  • Manage changes to the scope, time, or quality of the project through relevant change control procedures.
  • Progress reporting of the status of the project within the defined governance structure, both written and verbal, to internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues to ensure effective mitigations are in place, escalating to the technology management team and CTO as required.
  • Control the project budget, including tracking and reporting performance and identifying potential over/underspend and taking remedial action as required.
  • Ensure a clear communication plan is in place with internal and external stakeholders as required, and that all people and customer change implications have been considered and addressed through the overall project plan.

Agile Working:

  • Ensure all projects are delivered to agreed processes and procedures, operating within the agile development framework for most development projects.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members, and influence them to take proactive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Play an effective role within the technology management team, utilizing knowledge and experience to support the team's delivery requirements.
  • Drive clear and concise communication through all teams.

Qualifications:

  • Project management certification.
  • Degree-educated preferably in computer science/numerical subject.

Knowledge:

  • Proven experience of delivering complex software development, platform enhancement, and platform and data migration projects.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of the technology project lifecycle.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of agile software development projects and delivery methodologies – ideally NEXUS SCRUM methodology.
  • Experience of bringing significant projects to completion through challenging conditions.
  • Experience of working with remote multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience of managing and bringing together diverse cultures.
  • A recognized qualification and/or significant experience of project management tools and methodologies.
  • Technical skills from previous roles, e.g., software development, DBA, etc., is desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience leading and delivering software projects within a B2C SaaS business.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working directly with product and technology teams.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience leading and delivering software projects across a centralized global SaaS platform.
  • Experience using Microsoft Azure for management and tracking is desirable.
