We are seeking a skilled and experienced Development Underwriter with expertise in Property Owners to contribute to our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underwriting and a deep understanding of property owners underwriting processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyse and evaluate property owners insurance risks to determine potential profitability
  2. Underwrite new and renewal property owners business within designated authority levels
  3. Develop and maintain productive relationships with brokers and clients
  4. Engage with brokers and clients to gather necessary information for underwriting
  5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure underwriting guidelines are followed
  6. Monitor industry trends and market developments to make informed underwriting decisions
  7. Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients and brokers

Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years of underwriting experience with a focus on property owners
  2. Strong knowledge of property owners underwriting guidelines and practices
  3. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
  4. Effective communication and negotiation abilities
  5. Cert CII preferred but not a requirement
