About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Editor to join our team at Yandell Publishing Ltd. As Editor, you will be responsible for overseeing the content of our food industry media portfolio, including our monthly and bi-monthly magazines, annual publication, and websites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and edit content across all platforms, ensuring high-quality and engaging content for our readers.
  • Work closely with our design team to create visually appealing print and online editions.
  • Develop and implement content strategies to meet the needs of our readers and advertisers.
  • Write and edit news stories, features, and interviews for both our magazines and websites.
  • Organize and manage workload with our in-house team and freelance contributors.
  • Plan and coordinate content for each printed issue, ensuring it meets the needs of our readers and advertisers.
  • Work with our commercial team to ensure advertisers are satisfied with their content.
  • Source and develop relevant stories, turning them into high-quality content through research and relationships with the food and meat industry.
  • Assist with content and press duties for our events.
  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of our content and engagement.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as an editor, deputy editor, or section editor.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a proven ability to produce high-quality content.
  • Strong understanding of SEO and content management systems.
  • Experience managing social media pages and creating engaging email newsletters.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
