At MIB our people are passionate about making roads safer by getting uninsured and hit-and-run drivers off our roads. Working in partnership with the Police, Insurers and Government our collective aim is to make it a thing of the past but, until that’s accomplished, we’re here to compensate victims quickly, fairly and compassionately.
Last year we helped more than 42,000 people struck by uninsured and hit-and-run drivers and paid over £400 million in compensation to support victims rebuild their lives.
Our work and impact stretch further too. We manage services for the insurance industry and government to help keep costs down for UK motorists, and we manage the Insurance Fraud Bureau, which brings together insurers, partners and law-enforcement agencies in the fight against fraud.
This brand-new Creative Content Lead role will be key in helping to shape a compelling look and feel across our multiple brands that communicates who we are and showcases the vital role we play in people’s lives.

The Creative Content Lead is a strategic and creative role crucial to ensuring MIB has a reputation as credible and valuable by its broad range of customers.
This role will be accountable for creatively bringing to life the work we do to protect people from the devastation of uninsured and hit-and-run driving, developing MIB’s brand and accountable for content across MIB, IFB and OIC.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing a content strategy for all brand and marketing content across all formats, including print and online design, film and photography. In addition, you will manage a team of creatives and external agencies and take the lead on the delivery of content across a range of channels, ensuring our brand is cohesive and nurtured, using your experience in creative design, digital expertise, brand strategy and messaging to make our content clear, engaging and always evolving.
Key Outputs
- Design creative concepts for products and campaigns, leading and supporting the content specialists to embed those concepts across all channels
- Develop and embed a brand strategy that incorporates a thorough understanding of MIB’s brand architecture and audiences, brings to life the work we do and supports the future direction of the business
- Manage MIB’s brand architecture and content across brands, services, products and campaigns
- Line manage and develop the content studio - comprising of a Technical Developer and Visual Motion Designer - and external agencies, supporting their learning and continuous professional development, driving excellence at all levels with the MIB principles at the heart of behaviours
- Support the Communications and Campaigns Managers to ensure the flow of work is planned, resourced and managed to time and budget
- Take responsibility for innovating MIB’s digital channels in line with our content strategy and best practice
- Evaluate channel and campaign performance, using audience insight and metrics to develop strategic improvements
- Educate and inspire everyone at MIB about how to embrace and optimise our brand, including processes to maintain consistency, and ensure the content studio is positioned as the creative expert within the business
- Provide strategic, best-practice solutions to keep MIB’s content relevant and in line with emerging digital trends and audience insight
- Embed creative and digital solutions to make the team and MIB operate more efficiently
- Procure and maintain effective working relationships with external creative agencies for when the team requires additional content created
- Build and maintain excellent working relationships with senior leaders across the business to understand their challenges and provide strategic solutions
- Know the brand guidelines better than anyone, sharing skills, knowledge and experience to educate and support others to maintain brand consistency
- Manage the budget assigned to content studio and brand activity

- Proven experience of brand strategy and execution
- Proven experience of print design
- Proven experience of technical digital development, including design and build of creative features in web content editors
- Experience of managing, developing and inspiring creative staff and external agencies
- Excellent knowledge and advanced practical experience of Adobe Creative Cloud programs, in particular Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
