Supply Chain Operations Supervisor - hours
The primary objective of this role is to guarantee the provision of a proficient supply chain management service utilizing advanced technology systems and industry best practices. The individual in this position will offer support and direction to the Supply Chain Assistants while contributing to the achievement of organizational goals and the execution of strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
CORE DUTIES : To assist in the maintenance of a Supply Chain service across essential departments and units, managing daily procurement activities on behalf of the clientele, adhering to established protocols. The role entails ensuring that client needs are fulfilled in the most economical manner while guaranteeing uninterrupted supply at all times. Involvement in the planning and spatial design for new areas following approved departmental guidelines and procedures is also required. Conducting quarterly evaluations with relevant department/unit leaders, utilizing system data to illustrate expenditure trends, identifying and agreeing on all products and inventory levels with the client, monitoring usage and activity trends, and placing timely and precise orders to sustain agreed levels. Regular area inspections to ensure that inventory levels and the variety of products available are consistently reviewed, reflecting activity and updated in accordance with Service Level Agreements. Provide supervisory oversight for the management of the supply chain team.About Our Organization

Experience and Skills Required
Essential
Proficient understanding of NHS Supply Chain and electronic procurement systems or comparable systems. Demonstrated knowledge of Inventory Management and supply chain operations. Competent in basic software applications, including Microsoft Office and Excel. Experience in a customer service-oriented department or similar environment. Exceptional communication skills. Good standard of basic education.Desirable
Prior experience in a local NHS Supplies Department. Familiarity with purchasing activities (CIPS Level 2 or higher). Previous experience in a team leadership capacity. Experience in stock management or Scan 4 Safety. Currently pursuing CIPS or other related qualifications.
