We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join our team at People Solutions. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily checks on all fleet vehicles, including rental vehicles, and record the check and condition via the Vehicle App.
  • Verify that all 3.5 Tonne Vans vehicles do not exceed 3.5 Tonnes in weight using the weighbridge.
  • Act as a Fleet Ambassador for VOR (vehicle off road) vehicles if damage is found or defective.
  • Check all associated vehicle equipment, including material handling equipment, jump packs, fuel pumps, and enclosure.
  • Ensure the site adheres to health and safety rules, including clear traffic flow and associated parking.
  • Verify that all drivers have the correct uniform at all times and that vans are up to company standards and are kept clean.
Key Weekly Checks
  • Record all 21 day notices/7 day notices into a Google Calendar shared with your Transport Team.
  • Review any outstanding 21 day notice letters due with the Depot Quality Manager or Depot Manager.
  • Conduct a weekly check and download information from the HGV fleet, accounting for any discrepancies.
  • Check Fleet Stock (mirror glasses, lamps, bulbs, etc.) and reorder as required.
  • Ensure the gritter is in full working order and clean during the winter period and report any defects to your Regional Transport Engineer.
Essential Skills
  • Strong communication, listening, and problem resolution skills.
  • Good planning and organizing skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to cope with change.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and challenging conversations.
  • Able to work in a systematic, methodical, and orderly way following all depot instructions and procedures.
Desirable Experience
  • Full UK Category B Driving Licence.
