Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding work on rail vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Work as directed by and in co-operation with the Team Leaders and Production Management Team to ensure work is completed on time and to specification.
- Adhere to and work within Quality Systems to the current applicable standards.
- Work as part of a team to complete or assist in any of the team's activities.
- Understand and follow work/Vehicle Maintenance Instructions (VMI), Standard Operating Sheets (SOS), Work Element Sheets (WES), and Task Sequencing (TS).
- Support secondary level fault finding as and when required.
- Use work-related IT Systems as required, including Maximo to record progress of operations and status of issues.
- Accurately report status of operations, complete Work Checklists and Work Orders with the required level of detail.
- Report any quality, continuous improvements, or EHS related issues through leadership routes.
- Make suggestions and recommendations for productivity improvements working with the team leaders/managers and supporting functions.
- Maintain 5S good housekeeping of all related work areas in accordance with set standards.
We value passion and attitude over experience. We are looking for someone with a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent, technical qualifications, and experience of working to procedures, work instructions, and vehicle maintenance instructions.
You will also have experience of mentoring and instructing other team members, technical skills, and proven knowledge in 22X train maintenance, repairs, fault finding, exams, and heavy maintenance.
