Job Title: Transport and Logistics Manager

We are seeking an experienced Transport and Logistics Manager to join our team at Adecco UK Limited. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the overall control of our vehicle fleet, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of drivers and forklift drivers/yard operatives, including daily tasking, holiday bookings, and performance management.
  • Coordinate the movement of goods between various sites, ensuring efficient and cost-effective logistics.
  • Develop and implement route and load planning strategies to optimize delivery schedules.
  • Ensure all documentation is correctly raised for all outbound orders, including proof of delivery and invoicing.
  • Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure delivery schedules meet customer requirements.
  • Provide logistical support to move waste material between sites and materials between storage facilities as required for production.
  • Manage incoming loads, working together with other managers to direct materials and carry out necessary administrative tasks.
  • Attend daily production meetings to ensure goods are available for delivery as planned.
  • Maintain an organized despatch area, with customer orders organized in date order in preparation for shipment.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Full Clean driving licence is essential.
  • A good level of IT experience is a must.
  • Knowledge of using an ERP system is advantageous (Microsoft Dynamics - Training will be provided).
