Job Title: Transport and Logistics Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Transport and Logistics Manager to join our team at Adecco. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a fleet of vehicles, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods, and overseeing the movement of materials between sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a fleet of vehicles, including scheduling maintenance and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate with customers to schedule deliveries and ensure timely receipt of goods.
  • Oversee the movement of materials between sites, including the use of tracking software.
  • Manage a team of drivers and forklift drivers/yard operatives, including daily tasking and holiday bookings.
  • Ensure accurate documentation for all outbound orders, including proof of delivery.
  • Provide logistical support for the movement of waste material and materials between storage facilities.
  • Attend daily production meetings and liaise with the production team to ensure goods are available for delivery as planned.
  • Maintain an organized despatch area, with customer orders organized in date order.
  • Manage the loading of export containers/vehicles, including all export documentation.
  • Organize the use of 3rd party couriers as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Full Clean driving licence is essential.
  • A good level of IT experience is a must.
  • Knowledge of using an ERP system is advantageous (Microsoft Dynamics - Training will be provided).
