About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our digital channels team at easyJet. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the code-level development and maintenance of our front-end applications, adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality front-end applications using the latest technologies and frameworks.
  • Work closely with architecture, business analysts, developers, and delivery managers to deliver new products and services that meet the needs of our projects and programmes.
  • Provide technical leadership and support within the team, including mentoring, coaching, and guiding more junior members.
  • Identify, mitigate, or resolve technical risks within the solution, ensuring any risks or issues are clearly communicated and managed.
  • Actively contribute to all agile ceremonies and the maturing of our dev-sec-ops capacities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in developing solutions using React, Next.JS, and.NET.
  • Previous senior developer experience building web applications.
  • Experience working with content management systems, such as Sitecore or Contentful.
  • Experience of development in an Agile environment and adherence to the values and principles of agile software delivery.
  • Experience of testing at multiple levels, including Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD).
  • Demonstrable experience of providing a level of technical leadership within development teams – both in solution design and technical implementation.
  • Evidence of being able to translate technical architecture into technical implementation.
  • Practical and in-depth knowledge of code and database refactoring techniques.
  • Good understanding of network and infrastructure concepts.
  • Experience of DevOps and cloud technologies (AWS).
  • Experience of software-automation production systems (GitHub).
  • Experience of code deployment tools (e.g. Jenkins).
