Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Specialist

Astute People is partnering with a leading Energy company to recruit an Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation (EC&I) Technician. This role involves working at their sites in Birmingham and Derby, with a basic salary of c.\u00a355,000 + overtime + bonus + mileage expenses.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct fault diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance activities on EC&I assets to maximize plant availability.
* Assist during major maintenance periods, shutdowns, and outages to ensure maximum plant efficiency.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
* Supervise and direct on-site contractors when required.
* Work within the company's health, safety, and environmental processes and procedures.

Requirements:

* A time-served apprenticeship with an HNC in electrical/electronic engineering, measurement & control, or similar.
* A formal Health and Safety qualification, such as IOSH, is advantageous.
* A full UK driving license is necessary.

Ideal candidate:

* Excellent technical knowledge of PLC, DCS, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
* Hands-on maintenance experience in a heavy process environment.
* Experience with planning and scoping works, with the ability to complete small projects.
* Familiarity with CMMS.
