Lead Data Steward - Life Sciences

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Steward to join our team at Scot Lewis Associates. As a key member of our data stewardship team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data-sharing platform and accelerating scientific breakthroughs in life sciences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day direction and guidance to a growing team of data stewards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement metadata standards and controlled vocabularies
  • Contribute to the development of cutting-edge data annotation and linking standards
  • Facilitate the translation of mouse models to human studies through data-driven research

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in metadata management, controlled vocabularies, and structured data
  • Background in life sciences or related fields to manage complex datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, etc.)
  • Experience mentoring and supporting junior colleagues
  • Technical aptitude with tools like SQL, RDF, or knowledge-engineering
