Lead Data Steward Opportunity in Life Sciences

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Steward to join our team at Scot Lewis Associates Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data-sharing platform and accelerating scientific breakthroughs in life sciences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the day-to-day direction of a growing team of data stewards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to model and harmonize metadata across diverse scientific datasets
  • Contribute to the development of cutting-edge standards for annotating and linking datasets at scale
  • Facilitate the rapid translation of mouse models to human studies in preclinical and clinical research
Requirements:
  • Strong experience with metadata, controlled vocabularies, taxonomies, and structured data
  • Background in life sciences or related fields to manage large, complex datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, etc.)
  • Experience mentoring and supporting junior colleagues
  • Technical aptitude with tools like SQL, RDF, or knowledge-engineering
